I remember Leutin did a video about Saturnine armor, and right off the bat every sentence was nothing but contempt for people who took fascination with the pattern. He presented his story about the armor never existing and the imagery originating from a piece of fan art. And there might be a concept of the armor drawn for an early edition of the game, but there was never any saturnine armor. And saturnine armor with like slightly rounded corners was an early edition figurine but there was never such a thing as saturnine armor. And there was a silly rumor that a warhammer 40k novel had armor that sounded like saturnine armor. Then he reads a passage that describes saturnine armor in detail and then he patiently wraps up the episode with a nice riff about the humor in people getting caught up in fanfair, and how understanding he is and how we all make mistakes.
Or at least that’s the impression I got, but, I was pretty convinced that he thought the armor was stupid, and that it was stupid for people to be fascinated by it, and he said or implied over and over and over that there never was a saturnine armor. And then I swear he straight up finds solid evidence against his case and just continues on the exact same tone of ‘i cant believe anyone believes this sillyness’.
I’m not invested either way, but boy, that is stubbornness assuming my memory is working.
