I edited an Ernst Haeckel illustration into a desktop wallpaper because they have real desktop potential, the only killer is that they are vertical sheets.
I think it came out fairly well, not perfect, but good enough to not notice anything. New to image editing etc. (using Gimp), feel free to give tips and criticism :)
I plan to do as many of his illustrations as possible, they're all very beautiful.
