>>7875248Idk, as a somewhat casual player who is new to Fromsoft, I actually found Elden Ring really enjoyable. IT was difficult enough to push me, but not so much as make me drop it. Definitely spent a lot of time stuck on certain bosses. I enjoyed the challenge, the map design was awesome and in general it was varied enough to keep me interested all the way through it. My only complain was the lore was super esoteric and sometimes hard to follow unless you look up guides.
Fromsoft fans can be super elitist when it comes to difficulty or whatever but in terms of a video game it was pretty damn good. I will agree it doesn't have the best replayability, but a single playthrough can take well over 100 hours if youre being thorough, and at $60, thats less than a dollar per hour, which in terms of any entertainment medium is pretty damn good.
