>>7951284Germany is fucked beyond believe, we lose our entire industry, irreparable damage is being done as we speak because our industry cant afford those high energy prices, let alone being able to compete on a global market. We will face industrial ruins which will haunt us for decades, and this will only get worse.
The next 10-20 years are gonna be a nightmare for anyone who cant afford to emigrate from this shithole that once was a prosperous industrial state.
Sure, half the energy prices we face are caused by taxes, but that doesnt mean solar and wind is cheap, its quiet the opposite.
While it might be a good idea for wealthy familys who own their own home or private companys to invest in solar enrgy, running an entire nation on renewables is outright laughable if it wouldnt be so devastating.
You have to remember that renewables dont have an on-demand energy output, its random as to when there is wind and the if the sun shines, no wind or sun = no energy.
That means in order to meet the energy demands of an entire nation, you have to build the entire energy infrastructure TWICE, once for the renewables, and in addition to that, the conventional powerplants like coal, nuclear and gas which will jump in once the renewables cant deliver, which is more often than not an almost 0% contribution.
And that is something that angers me alot whenever I see charts like the one you and others in here have posted in here which claim renewables are a cheap form of energy gerneration.
Most of those graphs are manipulated and twisted to feed the agenda of whoever made it. They calculate those numbers by running those renewables on an 100% output and usage over their lifetime in which case, yes, they would be insanely cheap, but thats impossible, the sun shines only so many hours a day and so does the wind, they also dont put into their calculation the backup infrastructure requiered I have mentioned before.
There are also enviromental damgages and and issues with space.
