Wrath and anger as emotions are the way our brain developed to react to adverse/threatening realities in our environment in order to "attack" them and propositively change the world around us. If you don't have an object to attach that emotion (like injustice, needless suffering, inmorality) it's more likely to attach to other objects you don't want associated with such emotion (such as feeling productive, or enjoyment, peace, other people, or even yourself as object). It's advisable to express anger and wrath in ways that impact the world for the better (like working with your community, social organising, fighting back "the man") instead of building monoliths to it which will inevitably lead to feelings of impotence or self loathing.
