>>7976690>I think I actually dislike it more than I thought. I hate the wall color, the old desk, the curtains, the room lightning and the floor.the wall may look sterile due to its pure white color, but that is also a great opportunity because that makes it an empty canvas,
allowing you to add any sort of poster from a show/game, paintings, or furniture you want without worrying on whether it will fit with the style or not,
and it's not like there's much you can do when your wall is made of concrete anyways. painting it brown would probably look weird unless it is made of wood
as for the desk, i personally think it looks fine aside from that black void in the center where all the peripherals go. the curtains and room lighting are an easy fix
i recommend buying some of those more old looking style lamps and using some of those classic lightbulbs that has a more yellowish color,
also make sure you don't use too many of them as keeping the room a little dark adds a nice mood to it
from the one little glimpse i caught of the curtains, it could definitely be a little more dark and/or vibrant, like a slightly dark red or brown with classic floral patterns on it
>I am very obsessed with order and cleanness that I learned to put everything on its place and align everything on a very strict order, maybe that's what make it sterilethat isn't just what makes your room look sterile, but a lot of modern housing as well as modern art, websites, video game UIs, etc (pic related), interiors and exteriors included. ever seen those ghastly looking, newly constructed grey houses?
this is probably because we have an instinct to clean our environment and surroundings as much as possible, since dirty environments can house many diseases, and i suppose a cluttered room - even when it's perfectly clean and safe - can still look dirty and "unhealthy"
