>>7977894Hitler was not a 'communist' though, he was a 'national socialist', there is a difference.
On the spectrum of left wing politics the communists sit way out on the very far-left end of things, but sitting right next to the commies though are the National Socialists, and this is where the confusion starts...
Towards the end of WWII, Stalin was looking to the future and his aim of spreading communism all around the world, unfortunately for him he had a serious problem, in that just as Hitler had been wiping out ethnic groups and other inconvenient people by the million before and during the war, so had Stalin; and once the world finally woke up and learned what Hitler had been doing, Stalin didn't want the world to equate his own actions, done in the name of Communism, with the actions of Hitlers National Socialists, so what to do...
The solution turned out to be very simple, Stalin simply did what any good leftist does and so he repeatedly used an identity label to rebrand Hitler and the nazis as 'right-wing'; now came the end of the war, and the other Allied nations (UK/USA/France particularly) were in no position to fight Stalin over this relabelling and they didn't want to risk war with Stalin be revealing his genocide, so the Allied politicians quietly agreed with this new 'truth' about Hitler which was then widely perpetuated and barely questioned over the following decades, even during the Cold War when Communism was the clearly defined 'enemy' of the former Allied Western powers, and some of the stories of Soviet wartime and postwar genocide slowly and quietly started to be revealed.
That is until history started repeating itself, as history usually does when it's covered up and/or rewritten by corrupt politicians and their idiotic supporters, and so now it's understood that Hitler was indeed not only left-wing, but was only one or two steps removed from Stalin on the political spectrum and both men were equally genocidal maniacs.
