Unfortunately, his observations about LEGO in particular are more true today than they were even back in the day when he sat for this interview, what with LEGO continually adding more and more TV, movie, and other commercial business/franchise-related products over time (hello Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, et al) all while their more traditional themed product ranges, e.g. space, city, castle, rail, etc. all seem to have mostly stagnated and become quite samey and limited in variation from year to year.
