I'm a web developer, and I often finish ongoing projects earlier than anticipated and I find myself with extra time throughout the days.

How realistic is freelancing web dev through third parties such as Upwork or Fiverr? Is it worth putting the time/effort into trying or are those platforms largely scams/too good to be true?
