I've got a laptop and a monitor. I'm trying to set up two persistent wall papers for each so that I can always have my monitor background and my laptop background.

When I try it with window 11 it doesn't even persist after I switch the display sittings let alone unplug the hdmi cable.

I tried the free version of display fusion and it works when switching display modes but the moment I disconnect the hdmi cable it crashes out makes my laptop background a split between what was supposed to be the monitor background and the laptop background. Oh an no, i'm not paying for display fusion pro.

If you've had this issue, how'd you fix it? AI took me on a 3 hour goose chase.
