Ghibli movies are cute, interesting and well designed in general. You can safely ignore the contrarians on /a/ who might say otherwise, there's a reason they're so popular.
K-on is cute, it's especially fun to watch if you play music or know a lot about music.
Nichijou is made by the same studio as K-on. It's comfy and silly. Not all the jokes hit home but I'd call it entertaining nonetheless.
Madoka has a lot of twists and turns, it plays around with some interesting ethical ideas. Go in blind if you choose to watch it: do not read any spoilers, I can't stress this enough.
Watamote is really good if you like cringe comedy. I'm personally a sucker for cringe compilations so if you want some schadenfreude, go for it.
