A lot of Umezu Kazuo stuff fits your bonus criteria. His style doesn't really lend itself to anime. The major ones I would recommend are The Drifting Classroom, My Name is Shingo, and Fourteen, but others like Cat-Eyed Boy, Fear, God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand are also excellent. Also, although the official release of Cat-Eyed Boy is technically 2 volumes and thus didn't fit your requirements, they're massively large volumes, so in terms of page count, it easily fulfills your requirements.
