Okay, I did a little digging. Websites like 4Chan get DDOSed a lot, so their IP address changes more frequently. Until the record in your DNS cache expires, you're going to get that connection error. In Chrome you can click the "clear host cache" button on this page:
chrome://net-internals/#dns
See if your browser can do that. It is not a good solution. I think I should be able to blacklist certain sites, so their DNS entry is updated every time I load the page.
