If you can, ask the seller to ship via UPS instead; my forwarding agent in Japan has been using UPS to ship me my stuff since the Japan Post lockdown due to COVID-19, and since UPS goes by dimensional weight, it actually ended up being slightly cheaper than EMS would've been for my last packaged (a laserdisc box set, some doujins and a small electronic item - lot of weight thanks to the LDs, but a pretty flat box overall).
