i remember the anime genre was mecha, the mc was a girl. her father was famous but died in a war agains some alien species. girl get selected to serve on a space ship even though her abilities to operate her mecha is shit. one they an object showes up on the scanner, this object is the mc's father's space ship which was sent back by the aliens to serve as a kinectic missle. I dont remeber any much after this, I have some recollection about mc freaking out about that her father could be still alive on the now missle space ship.
