come within the legal 6 months frame the visa gives you and get a seasonal job, if you like it come back and stay after the 6 months.
I've also heard of people who makes yearly 6 months trip to work.
Call an immigration lawyer and request a pardon for entering illegally, and refugee status. At least in NY this'll give you about 4 years where you can live virtually legal and even travel the country.
In this period you should make enough money to live well off once you're deported or marry an american.
I don't know anything about staying longer but i have an uncle who has lived 40 years illegally.
