You know what the problem with GTA is? The lack of accessible buildings. Think about it. They drop you off in this big ass world and there's hardly any real place to to explore in the cities. You're surrounded by architecture but they're nothing more than walls and background decorations which is soulless and dull. It took 5 mainline games for them to finally implement the ability to rob convenience stores and even then there are so few of them and they all look the same. Why not create accessible interiors for some restaurants, gyms, malls, casinos, ect... Why not make it so 1 or 2 houses in every suburban neighborhood could be broken into and robbed? It would add much life to the game and I think it would be a far better tradeoff than giving the ocean a large amount of detail which no one even enjoys exploring anyway. I don't think I'm asking for much but so much of these games are empty and yet they tease you with all these cool areas that you can never visit. The occasional strip club and a police station is a nice start but there needs to be more shit to go into and more things to interact with. Red Dead 2 had a bit more of this since there were quite a few houses where you can kill whoever lives there and steal their shit. Why not include that in a future GTA game? Maybe even have the ability to stealthy break into a house at night while NPCs are sleeping and loot their shit. There are so many options.
