/qa/ was designed as board to host moot's final goodbye threads so as not to completely derail other boards; later on it was used for Hiroyuki to get to know the comm a little.
The board quickly lost it's purpose around 2016, but occasionally interesting meta questions or technical ones would pop up and some very insightful old wizards would answer them.
/qa/ was ruined by leebait/wojak spam/mod spite and disregard for actually bothering to clean up a board they repurposed to be their trashcan for threads they didn't like and anything they sent there instantly had it's discussion killed. The board is frozen but they didn't delete it because the mods best prefer scenarios that are dissatisfying to everyone involved but themselves.
anyways, unlike that board, /wsr/ actually functions for most requests and questions.
