i've been using https://duckduckgo.com/ for 8 years now. it's probably not perfect but a lot better than google.
https://yandex.ru/images/ for reverse image searches. a million times better than google if you're searching for political sources. seems to have gotten a downgrade recently, maybe they had to pay some kind of price to still be accessible in the west after the russia-ukraine war?

i think ai generated web pages is a problem for all search engines, cointoss if the info on them is relevant or even real
