For this you can go to an emergency room and tell them you feel like you're a danger to yourself and plan to kill yourself. I had to stay in the emergency room overnight and insist I didn't feel safe and still planned to kill myself before they took me to a mental hospital. Apparently people going in and saying they feel suicidal is common.
I found and followed this guide 8 years ago, and it only took me 2 months before they started paying me $900 a month in disability.
When you send in your application for disability you should convey 2 things.
1) When they read your letter they should think "This guy is FUCKED."
2) You should say you want to get better so you can go back to work and get off disability.
It helps if you have a history of going to a psychiatrist, or went to a psychiatrist years ago and was diagnosed with something.
