I am a newfag (lurked circa 2009 [mostly /co/ and /a/] as a kid who really should not have been on 4chan, but I did not post until I was an adult, over a decade after). Shit has gone downhill from then, Hiroshimoot is partially to blame for his apparent lack of interest. I know that there are a few meet-ups on /soc/ and /o/, but nothing aside from that.
Also the trolling and the like is something that I miss. I think we can have it back, not exactly like we had it, but something similar.
