>>1375297the inspiration in question. i can't help but admire the color work on this image. in the case of this drawing, it is not the lineart or anything of the like that makes the drawing what it is and gives it the feeling and the soul that it has, but the coloring. look at the subtle changes in color, the way the marker was used just enough opacity and skill to make such a basic stroke look like a realistic part of the sleeve. look at how the toning alternates over her skin. the H value is optimized to the point where her skin isn't too orange nor is it too pink. it is perfect. i have been too focused on trying to perfect the technique of doing lineart but seeing this image has changed my opinion on it.
