My ISP is blocking certain websites, 4chan, porn, torrents and for some reason, MSN which gets redirected to their website.
I used to be able to get around this by simple DNS change to google, but they got around that and the redirects happened again. Then I used DNScrypt which worked, but now they've gotten around that too and I get redirected.
Right now I'm using Avast premier and it's working for now.
As far as someone has told me, the way they're blocking websites is by forcing us to use their DNS, if they blocked the websites IP addresses the only way to get around it would be VPN or proxy.
How do I check whether they're forcing DNS on us or if it's an IP block?
As in, how do I check if DNScrypt is still working? The way I understand it is DNScrypt is supposed to stop me from being redirected to other DNS(my ISPs).
