I remember parts of the first chapter, something like this:
The story begins whit the girl that is a sacrifice to the mountain god of his town, and how is sad because she cannot go to the capital, because she is going to die. Then the monk and the guy save her and she join to they to go to the capital. They visit shrines of different gods along to the travel.
