Pic not related. It is a really old anime I think. It is colored, but has that old timey anime art style. (I remember it having an astroboy-esq art style, but I could be wrong about that. Maybe similar looking, but not the same) The main thing I remember about the story is that it is about a dog and a hunter boy. At some point he either breaks or loses his rifle in a hunt and I think he gets attacked or injured during the hunt. Someone (I think the person that took care of his injuries) tells him that the bow is better or more powerful or something and gives him a crazy strong bow. He starts training his strength to use the bow while the dog is off doing something else that I can't remember. I think he joins a pack of wolves or wild dogs or something to fight the really strong animal that attacked the hunter, but my memory is really fuzzy since that is about where I stopped watching. I think I watched it on Crunchyroll, but didn't finish it, forgot about it, and only remembered it after they took it off.
