Hidamari Sketch suffered the Shaft treatment until death. I can appreciate that their style works in some instances, but when the anime is ABOUT FUCKING ART YOU DON'T MAKE ALL THE PROPS BE BAD RENDERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY. Fuck. And the animation is almost non-existant, way too many cuts all the time. And the sound direction is also kinda meh. tl;dr I prefer my comfy and iyashikei to be accompanied by pretty visuals and good calm animation and good soundtrack, not this mess of a collage that is Hidamari Sketch. Sketchbook is everything Hidamari Sketch SHOULD have been and more.
>>21796Yeah, I mean to start reading more manga at some point, but I already have some backlogged. I prefer anime, as I've always loved animation from a technical standpoint. Haven't watched GJ-bu, will check out.
