Just to make it clear, I've used anki a ton before I just don't have experience making cards.
For example, look at these two cards from different decks that I've used, notice how the one on top is stylized well so it looks nice while the one on the bottom is barebones and ugly. The one on the top has small things like the way that the reading is placed right under the word in smaller font, the way that the part of speech is shown italicized and smaller right in front of the definition, stuff like that.
