Since the current weeb scene is saturated with isekai plagued by bland settings and SOL that take place in the real world, can I get recommendations for series with unique and interesting settings? Some examples of things that click with me:
>Fist Of The North Star: Post-apocalyptic near future (at the time of publication) with some epic fantasy elements and creative architecture.
>Nausica Of The Valley Of The Wind: Dying earth type of story heavily influenced by Dune and Earthsea. Love the french comic-like visual style and art direction.
>Five Star Stories: Mecha science fantasy setting set in a star cluster made of different empires and kingdoms. The mechanical and character design is great, as well as the overall complexity of the world building. Like Nausica, very influenced by Dune.
>Bastard!!: A tribute to all sorts of fantasy and sci-fi themes. Influenced by heavy metal music and D&D, sadly unfinished.
I also really liked the settings of Fullmetal Alchemist, Made In Abyss, and the Pokemon world as depicted in the Adventures/Special manga.

Bastard!! by Kazushi Hagiwara is probably one of the best fantasy manga I've ever read in general. It takes elements from all speculative fiction genres to create something over the top, and even if the beginning is rough, it gets much better as long as you keep reading. The art is also top notch, and visually my favorite manga in general. It's compared to Berserk and Claymore for a reason.
