One person I came across on a forum said they were using a newer Sandisk USB and when they switched to an older version it worked. That has not helped me at all.
So im trying to update the BIOS now thinking it might be an issue with that, but even with the BIOS image all I get when booting from a flashdrive is the grub prompt.
I bought the laptop refurbished online from a reputable source. There is currently no operating system installed.
I really just want this working and fast. Im no computer expert but ive put Linux on a plethora of other computers before and never had issues like this. You might need to hold my hand a little for more complex stuff but I am open to any and all suggestions.
