I'm looking for a story that was from some blogsite posted to /x/ a while back. Asked there but got no response. From what I can remember it was two people having a conversation about aliens, to which one of them said that they were one and they were priming humanity for first contact through the internet and would arrive once they felt humanity was ready.
It went on to explain his race of people and how they were very old and explored the universe for fun. And how they could create worlds like "game worlds" with different laws, because they gave up attachments to others. I don't remember much else it's been some time
