I would try to Mount it first regularly
In my 5+ years of using Linux i've tried to stay away from dd commands as much as possible, because they are powerful enough to have earned themself the alias "disk destroyer", not to say they arent useful, but handle with care
Also even if you are a beginner, dont type commands you are not sure what they do, especially not when you sudo, look it up, it may seem complicated but most isnt
Last but not least: dont drink and sudo
