I have had this PC for many years, like 2 to 5 at least, and it has always worked perfectly fine. Sometimes it goes slowly but that's just because I regularly use a massive amount of Edge tabs at once (swapped from chrome for this reason).
Literally 0 issues until 2 days ago, where it's started hard freezing. The mouse moves, the icons on my desktop even light up as if they can be selected, but nothing happens. Not even ctrl alt delete works and I am forced to turn off the computer because it will literally sit there for hours and never fix itself.
It is not overheating as far as I know, as the case was literally cold during the last freeze as I had only just started it up. The fan is functional.
I'm unemployed right now I can't afford to waste money fixing parts of it that aren't broken please help
