There's a lot of vertical banding and if I do a color page the whole thing is tinted red. I don't know if there's something in ViewScan I need to adjust or if it just doesn't work well with this Epson Perfection 1250.
We have an even older scanner hooked up to a linux box here as well and that one works fine. I'm just not sure if it will work the same on Windows because it's even older. I would probably have to use VueScan as well with it. So I was thinking of buying a new one for <$100 USD.
Pic related is some test pages, only resized/cropped, no other adjustments. The vertical banding is most noticeable on the color page, but it's there in both. I could understand the red tint if it just needed to be calibrated, but you can see how it's much more pronounced in the upper left corner then fades, which makes it much harder to clean up in Photoshop.
