So I've learned something pretty fucking unsettling about the PS4 4.0 update and I need to know if anybody else has experienced the same thing.
I go to a lot of free streaming sites on my PS4 browser and until today, for some fucking reason, every video I open that's not youtube will, after about one minute, give me an error saying "Cannot connect to the server within the time limit. There might have been a problem in connecting to the network, or Playstation Network or the server of the service provider might be temporarily busy. (WV-33907-2)"
Simply hitting O will close the error and the video will continue to stream for about another minute when the error pops up again. This continues until whatever I'm watching ends.
Now I looked up that error message and it's supposedly a router error. Problem is my router's strength is at 100% as it's sitting right next to my PS4. The Internet also acts perfectly fine immediately before and immediately after the error message, which tells me the message itself is bullshit.
Again, this only happens on streams that aren't hosted by Youtube. It's only started happening a couple of days after the 4.0 update.
That can't be a coincidence.
Anybody else in my boat? I can easily circumvent this problem by plugging my laptop into my TV, I know, but that's not my issue. I need to know if others have experienced the same shit or if there really is something wrong on my end. It's feeling like Sony's being a bunch of greedy assholes again and I've seen zero confirmation of this happening anywhere else.
