personally i dont think its a cost issue so much as a material issue. 3d printed resin kinda sucks, you cant use plastic cement so youre stuck with superglue and also unless you really dip into fancy resins theyre more fragile. i dont have a 3d printer but i ordered resin minis off the internet for dnd and those things despite costing me like ten bucks a pop busted in like a couple weeks
