1. Download the "Windows X64" file at:
https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp#using-the-release-binary2. Move the "yt-dlp.exe" file to the folder at C:\Windows
3. Download the file "ffmpeg-release-essentials.zip" from
https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/4. Inside the "ffmpeg-release-essentials.zip" archive file, you will see files for "ffmpeg.exe". Extract this file and then move it to the C:\Windows folder.
5. To run YT-DLP, you need to open a command prompt window so that you can type the command. It doesn't have a GUI mouse version. Instead of using Windows Powershell via the Start button, let's use the simpler Command Prompt version. Click on the Magnifying Lens symbol next to the Start button and type "command prompt" then press the Return key to open a command prompt window where you can type commands and run programs.
6. Let's go to a more convenient location (your desktop) location to have the youtube downloaded files appear there. Type:

And you see a bunch of folders in your current location at C:\Users\End User of which one is labeled "desktop". Type:

7. Now that you are in the desktop folder, any new files you download in the command prompt window will appear there by default. I only chose desktop because this way you will see icons appear on your desktop and can click on them with your mouse.
