Well, for what it's worth, plans changed slightly, and I had to go with Ghost in the Shell. I just finished the first episode, 'section 9'. Enjoyable. It's not the aesthetic I was looking for, but certainly more enjoyable than Stein's Gate.
Does Ghost in the Shell go any deeper though? Granted, it was just one episode, but it's not the deepest of things....(I was gently reminded of C.O.P.S., an 80's cartoon I used to watch as a kid. I like that show, and it's not a criticism...it's just what came to mind).
