I had been connecting a laptop to a mobile via USB 2 from lighting cable USB tethered and getting very slow speeds. last night I noticed a live stream was playing at 1080p smooth which was never possible. I ran a google speed test and it was very fast normally very slow. I didn't run any diagnostics but tried to find logs today to see what happened. I know USB 2 has a data transfer limit which is why it can't do much so I assume somehow a wireless connection was created to this laptop.
How could this happen? Its back to very slow today.
Any location a log on Win7 would be created showing connections to this device? I live in a condo so maybe someone set up a new WiFi connection and it was open for a while and my PC just grabbed it or if I want to be paranoid someone targeted my system to scan it remotely. I thought I had the iphone set to use USB only for the personal hot spot
