It's a really cool premise, the characters are extremely likeable and the story does a great job putting their talents to use, it's a pretty smart story, the music kicks ass, and it's just fun. It's a lot of the same thrill as a really well made video game, where every 'level up' brings a rush of new opportunities and possibilities. And the season 1 ending is just fantastic. Does a beautiful job acknowledging the pain and sacrifices of the past while looking forward to a future full of hope and opportunity.
Biggest criticisms are that it's a little bit slow to start, and the actions scenes can be a little cartoonish for my liking at times. But these are minor criticisms.
