there is a man who is coming off drugs, or seems to be taken care of by a single mother and her child, they are all white im pretty sure. this man is being chased by a convict i think. this is so vague but i saw it like 15 years ago by this point. the movie shows how agonizing coming off drugs can be, sweating and crying on a mattress in a dark room. i think the mom just found the man but im not sure if she knew him already. i think he was protecting her in the past idk.
