>>1458729i use kolourpaint and I've never had a problem with this. kolourpaint has some other useful tools like a colour range selection tool, so it's a tiny bit more advanced than old paint, but not quite photoshop. it has image adjustments and effects too like embossing and colour reduction, balance, hue, etc.
if you use the selection tool, you can then move it around with the arrow keys, for finer precision movement.
