As for the script, I've seen that solution elsewhere, but it will be difficult to download and install the program without having anything crash because explorer.exe has been invoked.
At this point, I am more concerned about the Startup Repair which has now lasted for 16 hours. Should I decide to abort it: Should I hold the power down, or pull the plug/turn off wall outlet?
