Okay I've been having a problem with compressed files for a while now, and I'm wondering if there's a solution.
I need to take a rar file or a zip file decompress and recompress it into the same format.
The problem is the program that I use to read it doesn't like the file, if I decompress the file it turns into a cluster fuck of decompress files, and if I recompress it it turns back into one file that I can use to read, it's not hard to do it's just time-consuming and tedious.
In the WinRAR program itself there is a way to try and fix broken archives that does basically what I wanted to do automatically, but the WinRAR program won't even read these files, however seven zip does gladly and if I recompress it to rar or zip there, it works fine with the programs I use to read it.
Is there any way to do this with one click or do I have to manually do it for every single file I come across?
