When I was younger, I remember watching a couple of anime movies on the TV (Ukraine, mid 90s), however I've forgotten their names and was wondering if anyone else knew what they were. I can only remember bits and pieces of them, but I'll post what I can remember. Just to clarify, these movies could have came out any time before the 90s, I just recall watching them around that time.
For the first one, I remember there being a team of two male heroes that went to some planet to ????
They split up for whatever reason... To do different tasks, maybe?
One hero was really big and muscular and he had an axe (?). At some point he was crossing the river, looked down and saw that beneath his feet were some stasis chambers (?) with native people of the planet and there were lots of them. Guess they were trapped there by someone evil (??) because the man begun smashing the statis generator with his axe.
While that was happening another man was climbing up the cliff using some vines/lianas (?). There were also some butterflies annoying him.
At the top of whatever he was climbing there was a spaceship (?) or a mecha (?) .. There was something with a cabin and a pilot's seat. The seat was taken by a skeleton of the previous pilot (?). There was also a flashback (?) of the poor guy getting into that chair and then being wrapped around by those vines and his flesh (?) turning into butterflies or something.
The 2nd hero gets into the pilot seat, everything goes well for him and... I don't remember anything else.
As for the 2nd movie, I'll post the details in another post
