it is just a weak blocker to keep people from booting the OS
you should still be able to boot the OS on the drive as long as you first boot any CD with the computer on slide the hd back in, then soft reboot from the cd and itll boot
if not and it really is encrypted, then two options
1: if you just want to wipe it and partition it, other things involving the drive, don't care about the data, then use
