If reading books is a problem for you, you should probably address that first, but if that's not what you want to do then this infographic should help because it's mostly pictures.
Work through the example like they do:
- find an image
- turn it upside down
- blur it
- copy it
- compare
Once you get better, you can turn off the blur and then the flip.

You're not creating art, you're training your ability to see what's there and draw it. What you're actually making is unimportant, what matters is what you're learning.
