After briefly (inadequately) browsing various help forums about the issue, I got it in my head that I could simply run the battery out and use the volume up+down trick that was given. What they failed to mention is the possibility of the debugging tool requiring the power button to confirm selections.
It was only after the fact that I discovered the existence of restart apps I could have used rather than effectively bricking my phone.
Short of an in-depth disassembly to get to the power button, how fucked is my device?
