>how do I checkget a CMD prompt and nslookup
4chan.org, if you get cloudflare's addresses you know it's deep packet inspection, if you get the address of your ISPs captive portal you know it's forced DNS.
If you put cloudflare's address as
4chan.org in your hosts.txt and
4chan.org still gets blocked, they both force DNS servers and do deep packet inspection.
>As in, how do I check if DNScrypt is still working? The way I understand it is DNScrypt is supposed to stop me from being redirected to other DNS(my ISPs).Where did you get your DNS provider's signing key? If you got it through the untrusted connection the key can also have been replaced.
>How do I checkThere's very little checking you can do against a sufficiently hostile upstream. I also don't know what DNSCrypt software you're using and how you configured it.
You have to get to a secure network somewhere and download any signing keys and entry addresses from the secure network and transplant them to the computer on the compromised network, then make sure you actually configured your local forwarder to use those keys and addresses.
Maybe even download the software itself over that secure connection if you want to be sure.
Your network settings DO have DNS pointed to localhost right??
