>>990848>it would shave off the size of things common between the files togetherI think I've done this before by using shotcut to cut out the opening and ending of a show in every episode while keeping two seperate videos for both and making a .m3u file to play the intro and outro for every episode anyway, like this:
https://www.vlchelp.com/skipping-and-playing-audio-and-video-portions-in-vlc/Depending on how long the show is cutting out those parts might take a while though...
You could also get into encoding and read up on guides and tips on different forums like
https://hi10anime.forumur.net/t101-encoding-settings-tips to preserve video quality while cutting down on the size.
Compressing a video might take a while in any case though; I've used shotcut to convert a video to a more compressed format and it took quite a lot of waiting time...
If you don't really want to get into encoding, you might be better off just buying a bigger external drive.
...But if you do, you'll likely have to read up on some things.
I've considered getting into it, but I'm a quitter... so I've got a few more external drives now.
