Tools - Any is fine, fountain pen, pencil, crayon... As long as you know how to use it.
Digital - Scanning is basically the only way you'll get a good digital picture. Don't even try to take phone pictures. If you don't already have a scanner or are too poor to get one, computer shops should have a scanner ready, depending on where you live.
